About us

Launched in 2016, the International Association of Memory (IAM) represents the future of memory sports, providing a democratic, transparent and independent foundation on which to take it forward.

Our vision and goals

We are a worldwide federation with the overarching vision of bringing memory sports to everybody and providing a free and democratic environment for the memory community, where people can participate as they wish and contribute to our common effort. A large community of memory athletes, organisers, arbiters, volunteers, helpers and contributors are working together in order to achieve this goal. In 2017, we held our inaugural World Memory Championship in Indonesia and In 2018, we held it in Austria. We are looking forward to organising other successful World Championship events in the future. This is one of our main priorities. Our 2019 World Championship will take place in the beautiful city of Zhuhai in China from 29 November 2019 to 1 December 2019. On the IAM’s official statistics page (www.iam-stats.org) we provide the memory community with all the latest results, records and rankings.

The IAM is a home for all who are passionate about memory sports. Since nothing can be achieved without commitment, enthusiasm and hard work, we invite everyone to join us and help where they can.

Feel free to contact us at any time at info@iam-memory.org if you have any questions or if you are interested in joining us. You can also shoot any ideas you have for the IAM on our ideas page as well as vote and review existing ideas.
