Hello Memory community,
The Board had its regular meeting on the 29th of April.
Attendants: Andrea, Charifa, Don Michael, Guillaume, Mohamed, Johannes, Simon.
Duration: 3pm CEST – 4.30pm CEST.
The moderator for this meeting was Simon Reinhard and secretary was Don Michael Vickers. Discussions revolved mainly around the 2022 World Memory Championships, the 2022 European Championships and potential improvements of and integrations with Memory League. Here is a short summary:
WMC 2022 and EMC 2022
We have received interest from various groups in regards to hosting the WMC 2022.
The board wants to hear out from all potentially interested candidates before making their final choice. Various options for the 2022 European Championship were discussed as well.
Memory League
The board discussed the current proposals of the ML team of overlapping of seasons and Slams and the Slam dates of July, September and November. The board discussed recognition of online Memory League records to count as World Records. Members also expressed the intention to establish a team to provide Simon Orton with support.
After the tasks were assigned, the meeting was closed and we will meet again next week.
