Based on your feedback, we have made some updates/improvements to the IAM Titles System, thank you!
- Two more starting titles (“Experienced“) have been added. The Titles will now start at Level 2 with shorter intervals till Level 10 (the first “Master” level). From level 10 onwards, a new title is awarded every 3 levels. Please refer to the picture above or here for the number of people currently qualified for a title and for a general overview. A huge thanks to Florian Minges for providing this.
- The other details (annual awards, titles for kids and juniors, implementation, etc. ) remain the same as before (Link).
- We are open to an alternative title name for Level 2 and Level 4 instead of Experienced. One point in favor of that might be that it creates some nice symmetry between Experienced/Expert and Master/Grandmaster. So if you like Experienced, do let us know! And if you have a better name, write to us in comments or at titles@iam-memory.org, we will be very grateful! Please send us your suggestions by 11 November, 2019.
