Dear community members, we are pleased to share the first draft of the IAM Titles System with you. These are based on the IAM Levels and you can read about the Levels System in Point F below.
A) 5 IAM Titles
Based on your overall level, we will be awarding a title at every 5 levels:

| 15 | MASTER rank : SILVER |
| 20 | GRANDMASTER rank : GOLD |
| 25 | GRANDMASTER rank : PLATINUM |
B) Annual IAM Awards
Every year, we will be presenting awards to recognize the best memory athletes:

| Best Memory Athlete of the Year | Best Championship Points at a competition in the calendar year |
| Best Team of the Year | Average of Best Championship Points of Top 3 Athletes from a Country in the calendar year |
| Best Newcomer of the Year | Best Championship Points in an Athlete’s first calendar year. |
| Most Improved Athlete of the Year | Biggest Improvement in Championship Points from the previous calendar year. |
| World X Team (Max 10 athletes) | Best score in any discipline in the current calendar year. |
C) Additional Titles for Kids and Junior
To provide extra motivation for kids and juniors, we will be giving a title for each level from 1 to 10:

D) How will these titles be implemented?
- All levels will be implemented with badges on the website. For example,
- We will be providing certificates for the 5 primary IAM Title Ranks.
- The animal badges for Level 1 to 10 for Kids/Juniors category will only be added to the profiles of Kids and Juniors.
E) Easier Access to Titles
The aim of our titles is to recognize excellence and improvement in memory sports. We understand that it is important that these titles are accessible to everyone in our community:
- You do not need to travel to a specific competition to get an IAM title. These titles will be available by participating in any IAM recognized competition.
- These titles will also be awarded for anyone who satisfies the title criteria in past competitions. (Just like our levels system)
F) IAM Levels System
Since our Titles System will be based on our Levels System, we would start by summarizing the same for those who are not aware.
The Levels System is many things: It is a means for competitors to track their overall progress in memory sports and to compare against other athletes in a new and different way. It is also the first time that events from different formats (Classical and Memory League) are part of one ranking. It can help you to motivate yourself to train and take part in tournaments even if the next improvement in your overall competition score seems out of reach. Please refer to our post from 2017 for details.
