Election Rules Amendment

Please note that the election rules have been amended with the following sentence (marked in bold):

5 d) After the votes have been tallied, the 7 candidates with the most votes will be elected to the Board unless no. 5.a) applies (no more than 3 candidates from the same region). If there are more than 3 candidates from the same region among the top 7 candidates, the fourth candidate onward from the same region will be skipped until there are 7 elected Board members. If at the end of that process the application of the regional limit rule would lead to vacant seats, then the seats shall not remain vacant but shall be filled with the candidates with the next-most votes, with no regional limitation.

Question Round

The next step in the election process is a public question round. This step is a chance for the memory community to find out more about the candidates before casting votes.

You can ask questions in the Art of Memory forum thread at https://forum.artofmemory.com/t/2022-iam-board-candidates-questions/72109, or you can email your question to the election committee at iam.election.2022@gmail.com. Questions may be directed to one or more specific candidates, or to all candidates. When you ask a question, please clearly state which candidate(s) it is for.

The deadline for asking questions is 23 March at 23:59 GMT. The election committee will then forward the questions to the candidates.

The candidates will then have until 28 March at 23:59 GMT to answer the questions in writing. Candidates should send their answers to the election committee at iam.election.2022@gmail.com, who will publish all the answers at the same time.

We look forward to seeing your questions!
